पौरवो धृष्टकेतुं च शरैराच्छाद्य संयुगे | बहुधा दारयांचक्रे महेष्वासं महारथ:

Transliteration

pauravo dhṛṣṭaketuṁ ca śarair ācchādya saṁyuge | bahudhā dārayāṁcakre maheṣvāsaṁ mahārathaḥ ||

Translation

サンジャヤは言った。激戦のただ中で、パウラヴァの戦士は矢の雨でドリシュタケートゥを覆い、幾度も幾度も打ち据えて、その大弓の名手—強大なるマハーラティ（戦車武者）—を引き裂かんとし、執拗な武威によって屈服させようとした。
