Transliteration

upendrasadṛśaḥ śyāmo mahāśāla ivodgataḥ | eṣa gacchaty anīkāgre dvitīya iva phālgunaḥ ||

Translation

サンジャヤは言った。「見よ、アビマンニュを――ウペーンドラ（ヴィシュヌ）に似て黒く、偉大なシャーラ樹のごとくそびえ立つ。彼は戦陣の最前に進み、まるで第二のアルジュナである。」
