भीष्मस्य शरशय्या-प्राप्तिः

Bhīṣma’s Fall to the Arrow-Bed

भीमसेनसुतं चापि दुर्मुख: सुमुखै: शरैः । षष्ट्या वीरो नदन्‌ हृष्टो विव्याध रणमूर्थनि

bhīmasenasutaṃ cāpi durmukhaḥ sumukhaiḥ śaraiḥ | ṣaṣṭyā vīro nadan hṛṣṭo vivyādha raṇamūrdhani ||

サञ्जयは言った。「ついで勇将ドゥルムカは歓喜して咆哮し、戦の最前線にてビーマセーナの子ガトートカチャを、鋭い矢六十本で射貫いた。この場面は、戦が容赦なく激化してゆくさまを示し、武勇と猛き決意が、血縁や帰結を顧みず戦端の縁へと戦士を駆り立てることを語っている。」
