इस प्रकार श्रीमह्याभारत आश्वमेधिकपर्वके अन्तर्गत अनुगीतापर्वर्ें अश्वमेधकी समाप्तिविषयक नवासीवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ,सर्वमेतद्धि यस्मात् ते दत्त शुद्धेन चेतसा
iti prakāraḥ śrīmahābhārate āśvamedhika-parvaṇi antargate anugītā-parvaṇi aśvamedhikā-samāpti-viṣayakaḥ navāśītitamo 'dhyāyaḥ pūrṇaḥ | sarvam etad dhi yasmāt te dattaṃ śuddhena cetasā |
かくして『聖マハーバーラタ』において、アーシュヴァメーディカ・パルヴァならびにそのアヌギーター部に属する、アーシュヴァメーダに関わる叙述の結末を説く第八十九章は、ここに余すところなく終わる。これら一切が汝に授けられたのは、清らかに浄められた真実の心をもって与えられたがゆえである。
वैशम्पायन उवाच
