दधिकुल्याश्व ददृशु: सर्पिषश्व हृदान्‌ जना: । जम्बूद्वीपो हि सकलो नानाजनपदायुतः

Transliteration

dadhikulyāś ca dadṛśuḥ sarpiṣaś ca hradān janāḥ | jambūdvīpo hi sakalo nānājanapadāyutaḥ ||

Translation

ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。人々は凝乳の流れと、澄ましバター（ギー）で満ちた湖とを目の当たりにした。まことに、無数の国と共同体を擁するジャンブード्वीーパ全土が、この驚くべき豊饒によって変貌したかのようであり、繁栄が目に見えるかたちで分かち与えられていた。
