प्रययुस्तांस्तदा राजन्नुग्रसेनो न्यवारयत्‌ | राजन! वहाँ यदुवंशी वीरोंके बालकोंने उस उत्तम अश्वको बलपूर्वक पकड़कर युद्धके लिये उद्योग किया; परंतु महाराज उग्रसेनने उन्हें रोक दिया

prayayus tāṁs tadā rājan ugrasenō nyavārayat |

ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。「王よ、そのとき彼らが出立しようとしたまさにその瞬間、ウグラセーナ(Ugrasena)がこれを制止した。ヤドゥ族の勇士たちの若き子らが、その優れた祭馬を力ずくで捕らえ、戦いの支度を整えたからである。だがウグラセーナ王は彼らの衝動を抑え、軽率な争いを未然に防いだ。」
