बभ्रुवाहन-धनंजययोः संग्रामः
Babhruvāhana and Dhanaṃjaya’s engagement at Maṇipūra
तथायं सुरथाज्जातो मम पौत्रो महाभुज: । “मन्दबुद्धि दुर्योधन और जयद्रथको भूलकर हमें अपनाओ। जैसे अभिमन्युसे शत्रुवीरोंका संहार करनेवाले परीक्षितका जन्म हुआ है, उसी प्रकार सुरथसे यह मेरा महाबाह पौत्र उत्पन्न हुआ है
tathāyaṃ surathāj jāto mama pautro mahābhujaḥ |
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「かくしてスラタより、わが孫この者が生まれた。大いなる腕を持つ者である。」この言葉は、戦禍の荒廃ののちにも王統が断たれぬことを示す。ふさわしき後裔によって血脈は新たにされ、誤った忠誠を捨て、ダルマにかなう正統の継承を認めよと促している。
