Educational Q&A

Royal action should proceed under dharmic authorization and be carried out in a regulated way: ritual is not merely power-display but a disciplined duty, completed with proper procedure and generosity (dakṣiṇā) toward officiants and dependents.

Vyāsa addresses the king and formally grants permission to proceed with the next steps—specifically, to undertake the Aśvamedha sacrifice according to prescribed rites and with appropriate gifts, signaling an endorsed transition into post-war royal consolidation and dharmic governance.
