Abhimanyu’s Śrāddha; Vyāsa’s Assurance of the Unborn Heir (अभिमन्योः श्राद्धं तथा गर्भरक्षणोपदेशः)
कुले महति जातासि क्षत्रियाणां महात्मनाम् | मा शुचश्चपलाक्ष त्वं पद्मपत्रनिभेक्षणे
kule mahati jātāsi kṣatriyāṇāṁ mahātmanām | mā śucaś capalākṣa tvaṁ padmapatranibhekṣaṇe ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「娘よ――蓮の花弁のような眼をもつ者よ――汝は高徳なるクシャトリヤの偉大な家系に生まれた。ゆえに、落ち着かぬ眼差しのその子のために嘆き悲しむな。」
