This verse is a colophon marking the end of the chapter; it signals that Vāsudeva’s discourse has concluded. In context, the teaching emphasizes reflective understanding of the war’s events within a dharmic and ethical framework, characteristic of the Anugītā’s post-war instruction.
Vaiśampāyana closes the sixtieth chapter of the Anugītā portion within the Āśvamedhika Parva, indicating that Śrī Kṛṣṇa (Vāsudeva) has finished a section of speech recounting and interpreting the war events.
