Educational Q&A

The verse highlights restraint and responsibility after conflict: purification and rest precede speech, and truthful, complete reporting to elders is treated as a duty. It implies that ethical order is restored through composure, cleanliness, and accountable narration rather than agitation or concealment.

After being received by his kin, Śrī Kṛṣṇa washes and rests. Then, at his father's inquiry, he recounts the entire story of the great war—serving as a witness who consolidates events for the family and community in the postwar setting.
