उत्तड्ुक उवाच राजंस्तथेह कर्तास्मि पुनरेष्यामि ते वशम् | प्रश्न॑ च कंचित् प्रष्टूं त्वां निवृत्तोडस्मि परंतप
Uttaṅka uvāca: rājan tatheha kartāsmi punar eṣyāmi te vaśam | praśnaṃ ca kañcit praṣṭuṃ tvāṃ nivṛtto ’smi paraṃtapa ||
ウッタンカは言った。「王よ、敵を焼き尽くす者よ、ここにおいてそのとおりにいたそう。なすべきことを成し遂げたのち、再びあなたの御支配のもとへ戻る。だが今しばし、仇敵を打ち払う王よ、ある一つの問いを申し上げるために、私はあなたのもとへ引き返して来たのだ。」
