न चापिबत्‌ स सक्रोध: क्षुभितेनान्तरात्मना । स तथा निश्चयात्‌ तेन प्रत्याख्यातो महात्मना,उत्तंकने उस जलको नहीं पीया। वे अत्यन्त कुपित हो उठे थे। उनके अन्त:करणमें बड़ा क्षोेभ था। उन महात्माने अपने निश्चयपर अटल रहकर चाण्डालको जवाब दे दिया

Transliteration

na cāpibat sa sakrodhaḥ kṣubhitena antarātmanā | sa tathā niścayāt tena pratyākhyāto mahātmanā ||

Translation

そして彼はその水を飲まなかった。怒りに燃え、内奥の心は大きく揺らいでいたが、それでも己の決意に堅く立ち、かの大いなる魂は断乎として拒み、決然たる言葉で退けた。
