Adhyāya 51: Kṛṣṇa’s Leave-Taking and Departure for Dvārakā (द्वारकागमनानुमति)
guruḥ uvāca ity uktās te tu munayo guruṇā brahmaṇā tathā | kṛtavanto mahātmānas tato lokam avāpnuvan ||
Instruction bears fruit when it is translated into conduct: the sages attain a higher realm because they practice exactly what Brahmā, their guru, taught—highlighting the ethical primacy of disciplined obedience and lived dharma over mere listening.
Vāyu narrates that certain sages, having been instructed by Brahmā as their teacher, follow his guidance accordingly; as a consequence of that faithful practice, they attain an excellent world (a superior spiritual state or realm).
