Brahmā’s Instruction on Elements and Faculties

अण्डजानि विजानीयात्‌ सर्वाश्वैव सरीसूपान्‌ इनके अतिरिक्त जो दूसरे आकाशचारी प्राणी हैं तथा जो पेटसे चलनेवाले सर्प आदि हैं, उन सबको भी अण्डज जानना चाहिये

aṇḍajāni vijānīyāt sarvāṇy eva sarīsṛpān |

風神ヴァーユは言った。「蛇などの這い回る生きものはすべて、『卵生(アṇḍジャ)』であると知るべきである。同様に、天空を行き交うほかの生類もまた、卵生の類に属すると認めよ。」
