Adhyāya 40: Brahmā on Mahān (The Great Principle) and the All-Pervading Puruṣa
महाप्रभाव: पुरुष: सर्वस्य हृदि निश्चित: । अणिमा लघिमा प्राप्तिरीशानो ज्योतिरव्यय:
mahāprabhāvaḥ puruṣaḥ sarvasya hṛdi niścitaḥ | aṇimā laghimā prāptir īśāno jyotir avyayaḥ ||
ヴァーユ神は言った。「量り知れぬ威光をもつ至上のプルシャは、あらゆる存在の心に堅く定まっている。アニマー（微細となる力）、ラギマー（軽くなる力）、プラープティ（万物に到達する力）などの成就は、彼より生ずる。彼は万有を統べる主、自ら光り、滅びなき者である。」
