ज्योतिराकाशमादित्यो वायुरिन्द्र: प्रजापति: । नोपैति यावदध्यात्मं तावदेतान् न पश्यति,जबतक अध्यात्मज्ञानकी प्राप्ति नहीं होती, तबतक मनुष्य इन ज्योति, आकाश, वायु, सूर्य, इन्द्र और प्रजापति आदिके यथार्थ तत्त्वको नहीं जानता (आत्मज्ञान होनेपर इनका यथार्थ ज्ञान हो जाता है)
jyotir ākāśam ādityo vāyur indraḥ prajāpatiḥ | nopaiti yāvad adhyātmaṁ tāvad etān na paśyati ||
ヴァーユは言った。「光、虚空、太陽、風、インドラ、そしてプラジャーパティ——内なる自己（アートマン）の知を得ぬかぎり、人はこれら宇宙の原理の真の本性をありのままに見ることはできない。自己の知が起これば、その真理もまた理解される。」
