The Allegory of the Inner Forest of Knowledge
iti śrīmahābhārate āśvamedhike parvaṇi anugītāparvaṇi brāhmaṇagītāsu saptaviṃśo 'dhyāyaḥ
This line is not a doctrinal verse but a colophon. Its function is to close and authenticate the preceding teaching by locating it within the Mahābhārata’s Aśvamedhika Parva, specifically the Anugītā section and the Brāhmaṇa-gītās.
The discourse attributed to the brāhmaṇa speaker reaches a formal stopping point: the text signals that the twenty-seventh chapter has concluded within the Anugītā portion of the Aśvamedhika Parva.
