Abhaya-Itihāsa: Karma, Indriyas, and the Non-sensory Brahman
Brāhmaṇī–Brāhmaṇa Saṃvāda
ततः: संजायते रूप॑ ततः स्पर्शोडभिजायते । ततः संजायते शब्द: संशयस्तत्र जायते । ततः: संजायते निष्ठा जन्मैतत् सप्तथा विदु:,“वहींसे रूप, स्पर्श और शब्दका प्राकट्य होता है। संशयका जन्म भी वहीं होता है और निश्चयात्मिका बुद्धि भी वहीं पैदा होती है। यह सात प्रकारका जन्म माना गया है
tataḥ saṃjāyate rūpaṃ tataḥ sparśo ’bhijāyate | tataḥ saṃjāyate śabdaḥ saṃśayas tatra jāyate | tataḥ saṃjāyate niṣṭhā janmaitat saptathā viduḥ ||
「その源より形相が生じ、そこから触が生まれる。そこから音が起こり、またその場に疑いも生ずる。さらにそこから、揺るがぬ確定(決定する知性)も生起する。これが七種の生成として知られる。」
वायुदेव उवाच
The verse outlines a causal account of how sensory qualities (form, touch, sound) and mental states (doubt and settled certainty) arise from a single underlying source, presenting this as part of a broader sevenfold scheme of origination known to the wise.
