Educational Q&A

A king must entrust judicial duties only to reliable, content, welfare-minded officials, and ensure accountability by continuous oversight—here symbolized by the use of spies or agents.

Vaiśampāyana conveys a counsel on royal conduct: how a ruler should staff and monitor those who execute justice, emphasizing integrity in appointments and vigilance against corruption.
