Adhyāya 32: Tāpasānāṃ Darśanaṃ — Ascetics Seek to Identify the Pāṇḍavas
असौहदं परित्यज्य सौहृदे पर्यवस्थिता: । भरतभूषण! वे समस्त योद्धा एक-दूसरेसे मिलकर बड़े प्रसन्न हुए। इस प्रकार मुनिकी कृपासे वे सभी क्षत्रिय अपने क्रोधको भुलाकर शत्रुभाव छोड़कर परस्पर सौहार्द स्थापित करके मिले
asauhṛdaṃ parityajya sauhṛde paryavasthitāḥ | bharatabhūṣaṇa! te samastā yoddhā anyonyena militvā mahān praharṣaṃ prāpuḥ | evaṃ muneḥ kṛpayā te sarve kṣatriyāḥ krodhaṃ vismṛtya śatrubhāvaṃ vihāya paraspara-sauhārdaṃ sthāpayitvā samāgacchan |
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。敵意を捨て、互いの善意に安住して—おお、バラタ族の飾りよ—その武人たちは皆、相まみえて大いに歓喜した。かくして聖仙の慈悲により、彼らクシャトリヤは怒りを忘れ、怨みを棄て、相互の和合を打ち立てて、和解のうちに集ったのである。
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Hostility is not inevitable even among warriors: by the compassionate intervention of a sage, anger can be relinquished and enmity transformed into mutual goodwill. The verse highlights an ethical ideal of post-conflict reconciliation—restoring social order through forgiveness and concord.
The warriors, previously divided by antagonism, meet one another and rejoice. Prompted by a sage’s compassion, they forget their anger, abandon the stance of enemies, and establish mutual cordiality, signaling a movement from conflict toward communal healing.
