Adhyāya 32: Tāpasānāṃ Darśanaṃ — Ascetics Seek to Identify the Pāṇḍavas
देवलोकं ययु: केचित् केचित् ब्रह्मसदस्तथा,कोई देवलोकमें गये, कोई ब्रह्मलोकमें, कुछ वरुणलोकमें पधारे और कुछ कुबेरके लोकमें। कितने ही नरेश भगवान् सूर्यके लोकमें चले गये
devalokaṃ yayuḥ kecit kecid brahmasadas tathā | kecid varuṇalokaṃ ca kecit kuberalokam āyayuḥ | kati cid nṛpāḥ sūryalokam jagmuḥ ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。「ある者は天界へ赴き、ある者はブラフマーの सभा(界)に至った。ある者はヴァルナの界へ、ある者はクベーラの界へと向かった。多くの王たちはまた、太陽神の界を得た。」
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights karmic and dharmic fruition: after completing their worldly roles, individuals—especially rulers—attain different divine realms according to their merits, conduct, and the cosmic order they upheld.
The narrator Vaiśampāyana describes the posthumous destinations of various persons (notably kings), stating that some go to Devaloka, some to Brahmā’s assembly, others to Varuṇa’s or Kubera’s realms, and many to the Sun’s world.
