व्यायामश्नायमत्यर्थ कृतस्त्वामभियाचता । ततो ग्लानमनास्तात नष्टसंज्ञ इवाभवम्‌,तात! तुमसे अनुरोध करनेके लिये बोलते समय मुझे बड़ा भारी परिश्रम करना पड़ा है। अत: क्षीणशक्ति होकर मैं अचेत-सा हो गया था

Transliteration

vyāyāmaśnāyam atyarthaṃ kṛtas tvām abhiyācatā | tato glānamano 'smi tāta naṣṭasaṃjña iva abhavam ||

Translation

ドリタラーシュトラは言った。「わが子よ、そなたに願いを述べるその言葉の最中でさえ、私は過度に力を振り絞らねばならなかった。ゆえに心は疲れ、力は尽き、意識を失ったかのようになった。」
