Nārada’s Exempla of Tapas and Assurance to Dhṛtarāṣṭra (नारदोपदेशः—तपःसिद्ध्युदाहरणम्)
उस समय उन लोगोंमें विचित्र पदों और नाना श्रुतियोंसे युक्त धर्म और अर्थ-सम्बन्धी चर्चाएँ होती रहीं ।।
pāṇḍavās tv abhito mātur dharaṇyāṃ suṣupus tadā | utsṛjya tu mahārhāṇi śayanāni narādhipa ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。――その時、ダルマとアルタに関する議論は、さまざまな言い回しと多くのシュルティの引用に彩られつつ、彼らのあいだで絶えず続いていた。だがパーンダヴァたちは、王よ、値高い寝台を退け、母の周りの裸地に身を横たえた。林住の苦行のただ中で、節制と恭敬の奉仕を身をもって示したのである。
