Nārada’s Exempla of Tapas and Assurance to Dhṛtarāṣṭra (नारदोपदेशः—तपःसिद्ध्युदाहरणम्)
मातरं चाविदूरस्थां शिष्यवत् प्रणतां स्थिताम् । कुन्तीं ददर्श धर्मात्मा शिष्टाचारसमन्विताम्
mātaraṃ cāvidūrasthāṃ śiṣyavat praṇatāṃ sthitām | kuntīṃ dadarśa dharmātmā śiṣṭācārasamanvitām ||
そのとき、法を心とする者は、母クンティーが遠からぬ所に立っているのを見た――弟子のように身を低くして礼を尽くし、静かで謙虚、正しい作法の規律を体現していた。近くでは、日々の儀礼を終えたドリタラーシュトラ王が、ガーンダーリーとともに安らかに座していた。
