सो<ब्रवीन्मातरं कुन्तीं वनं तमनुजग्मुषीम्‌ । अहं राजानमन्विष्ये भवती विनिवर्तताम्‌

Transliteration

so 'bravīn mātaraṃ kuntīṃ vanaṃ tam anujagmūṣīm | ahaṃ rājānam anviṣye bhavatī vinivartatām ||

Translation

ヴァイシャṃパーヤナは語った。彼は、その森へと後を追う母クンティに言った。「私は王を探しに行く。母上はお戻りください。」この場面は、子としての務めと守ろうとする思いを示す—正当なる長老を求めつつ、母にこれ以上の苦難を負わせまいとするのである。
