Merit of Ponds and Tree-Planting
भरतश्रेष्ठ! जो ब्राह्मगको सौ शलाकाओंसे युक्त सुन्दर छाता दान करता है, वह परलोकमें सुखी होता है ।।
bharataśreṣṭha! yo brāhmaṇāya śataśalākāyuktaṁ sundaraṁ chātraṁ dānaṁ karoti, sa paraloke sukhī bhavati. sa śakraloke vasati pūjyamāno dvijātibhiḥ; apsarobhiś ca satataṁ devaiś ca, bharatarṣabha, bharatabhūṣaṇa.
ビーシュマは言った。「おお、バーラタ族の最勝者よ。百の骨（肋）を備えた美しい傘を婆羅門に施す者は、来世において幸いを得る。二度生まれの者たち、神々、そしてアプサラス（天女）に常に敬われつつ—おお、バーラタの雄よ—その者はシャクラ（インドラ）の天界に住まう。」
