छत्रोपानहदानफलप्रशंसा — Praise of the Merit of Donating Umbrella and Footwear
जातकर्माणि सर्वाणि व्रतोपनयनानि च । गोदानानि विवाहाश्न तथा यज्ञसमृद्धयः
jātakarmāṇi sarvāṇi vratopanayanāni ca | godānāni vivāhāś ca tathā yajñasamṛddhayaḥ ||
ビーシュマは言った。「出生のサンスカーラに始まるあらゆる儀礼—誓戒（ヴラタ）と聖紐を授かる入門儀礼（ウパナヤナ）、牛の施与、婚礼、そして祭祀（ヤジュニャ）の繁栄—これらはすべて、食（アンナ）とその供給によって成就する。ゆえにこの偈は、家の営みと祭儀におけるダルマの安定が、衆生を支える物質的扶助、とりわけ食に依っていることを示す。」
