श्राद्धे त्वथ महाराज परीक्षेद् ब्राह्मणान् बुध: । कुलशीलवयोरूपैर्विद्ययाभिजनेन च
śrāddhe tv atha mahārāja parīkṣed brāhmaṇān budhaḥ | kulaśīlavayorūpair vidyayābhijanena ca ||
ビーシュマは言った。「しかしシュラーダッダの時には、大王よ、賢者は婆羅門を吟味すべきである。家系、徳行、年齢、容貌、学識、そして高貴な生まれを考慮せよ。祖霊に捧げる儀礼においては、ふさわしい受け手を見極めて選ぶことが供物の神聖を守り、ダルマを支えるからである。」
