श्वभिश्व यः परिक्रामेद्‌ य: शुना दष्ट एव च । परिवित्तिश्न यश्चव स्याद्‌ दुश्चर्मा गुरुतल्पग:

śvabhiśva yaḥ parikrāmed yaḥ śunā daṣṭa eva ca | parivittiṣṇ yaś caiva syād duścarmā gurutalpagaḥ ||

ビーシュマは言った。犬や馬と連れ立って歩き回る者、まことに犬に噛まれた者、「パリヴィッティ」(parivitti—世に忌まれる婚姻のあり方)として生きる者、悪臭を放つ皮膚病に悩む者、そして師の床を犯す者——かかる者どもは、重い不浄と咎むべき行いに堕したとここに説かれ、祭式と社会の作法において厳重な警戒をもって扱うべきである。
