Śrāddha-dvija-parīkṣā: Paṅkti-dūṣa and Paṅkti-pāvana (श्राद्धे द्विजपरीक्षा—पङ्क्तिदूष-पङ्क्तिपावन)
कृषिभागी भवेच्छाद्धं कुर्वाण: सप्तमीं नूप । अष्टम्यां तु प्रकुर्वाणो वाणिज्ये लाभमाप्नुयात्
kṛṣibhāgī bhavec chrāddhaṃ kurvāṇaḥ saptamīṃ nṛpa | aṣṭamyāṃ tu prakurvāṇo vāṇijye lābham āpnuyāt, rājan ||
ビーシュマは言った。「王よ、陰暦の第七日にシュラーダを修する者は、農の利得に与り、第八日に修する者は、商いにおいて利益を得る。かくしてこの儀礼は、時を得て正しく行えば、祖霊への義務に根ざしつつ、相応の世俗の繁栄をもたらすと説かれる。」
भीष्म उवाच
