Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results
सर्वे हि वयमेते च तवैव प्रसव: प्रभो | देवानां ब्राह्मणानां च त्वं हि कर्ता पितामह,'प्रभो! पितामह! ये सब और हमलोग आपहीकी संतान हैं; क्योंकि देवताओं और ब्राह्मणोंकी सृष्टि करनेवाले आप ही हैं
sarve hi vayam ete ca tavaiva prasavaḥ prabho | devānāṃ brāhmaṇānāṃ ca tvaṃ hi kartā pitāmaha ||
ヴァシシュタは言った。「主よ、万有の祖父(ピターマハ)よ。われらすべて、そしてこの者たちもまた、まことにあなたの子孫であります。神々とバラモンとを創り出した造り主、根源の祖は、まさにあなたなのです。」
वसिष्ठ उवाच
The verse grounds dharma in a shared divine origin: gods and Brahmins alike arise from the same supreme progenitor, so reverence, humility, and recognition of cosmic hierarchy are ethically required.
Vasiṣṭha addresses a supreme Lord/primeval ancestor (pitāmaha), affirming that all beings present are His progeny and praising Him as the creator of both the devas and the Brahmin order.
