Pitṛ-śrāddha-haviḥ-phala-nirdeśa
Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results
ब्रह्मा पितामह: पूर्व देवताभि: प्रसादित: । इमे नः संतरिष्यन्ति प्रजाभिर्जगती श्वरा:
brahmā pitāmahaḥ pūrvaṁ devatābhiḥ prasāditaḥ | ime naḥ santariṣyanti prajābhir jagatīśvarāḥ ||
ヴァシシュタは言った。「昔、神々は祖父ブラフマーを歓ばせ、こう祈願した。『主よ、どうか慈悲を垂れ、ブリグらの子孫が大地を護りつつ、その子孫によって我らを苦難から救い出しますように。彼らすべてをプラジャーパティ（生類の主）とし、偉大なる苦行者としてください。あなたの恩寵の力により、今この時、彼らは全世界を危難から救うでしょう。』」
