The verse emphasizes continuity of the world through righteous succession—lineages and descendants preserve social and cosmic order, implying that maintaining dharmic family lines and responsibilities sustains society.
Vasiṣṭha is describing genealogical succession, naming ancestral figures (Aḍrirasa, Kaveṣa, Bhaga) and stating that through their descendants the world has been continuously maintained, while addressing a listener from the Bhṛgu line.
