Pitṛ-śrāddha-haviḥ-phala-nirdeśa
Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results
स्कन्नमात्रं च तच्छुक्रे ख्रुवेण परिगृह्म सः । आज्यवन्मन्त्रतश्नापि सोडजुहोद् भूगुनन्दन
skannamātraṃ ca tacchukre khruveṇa parigṛhya saḥ | ājyavanmantrataś cāpi so 'dya juhod bhṛgunandana ||
ヴァシシュタは言った。「精がこぼれ落ちたその瞬間、彼は祭杓クルヴァ（khruva）で素早くそれを掬い取った。ついで、ああブリグ族の誉れよ、彼は自らマントラを誦して、それを澄ましバター（ghṛta）のごとく火中に供えた。かくして、突発の過失にあっても、彼は儀礼の規律と自制を失わず、逸脱を整えられた行為へと転じ、乱れの因とすることを許さなかった。」
