Śrāddha-Kalpa: Pitṛ-Pūjā and Tithi-Phala (श्राद्धकल्पः पितृपूजा च तिथिफलम्)
उत्पपात तदा वह्नौ ववृधे चादूभुतोपमम् । तेजस्तेजसि संयुक्तमात्मयोनित्वमागतम्
utpapāta tadā vahnau vavṛdhe cādūbhutopamam | tejas tejasi saṃyuktam ātmayonitvam āgatam ||
ビーシュマは言った。「するとその光輝は火の中に躍り出て、驚くべき、比類なき大きさへと増大した。火そのものの輝きと結び合わさったその光は、『自ら生ずる』という相を帯び、自己存在する一人の“プルシャ（人）”として顕現した――供犠の炎の内奥から立ち現れた、畏るべき力の出現であった。」
