Suvarṇa-dāna: Kārttikeya’s Origin and the Defeat of Tāraka (सुवर्णदान-प्रसङ्गे कार्त्तिकेय-उत्पत्ति तथा तारकवधः)
त्रींललोकाननुशासत्सु विष्णौ गर्भत्वमागते । अदित्यास्तप्यमानायास्तपो घोर सुदुश्चरम्
trīṁl lokān anuśāsatsu viṣṇau garbhatvam āgate | adityās tapyamānāyās tapo ghoraṁ suduścaram ||
ビーシュマは言った。「三界を治め導くヴィシュヌが胎内に宿る状態へと入ったとき、アディティはその神聖なる目的のため、苛烈にしてこの上なく困難な苦行を行い、激しい自己規律に耐え抜いた。」
