ततः प्रोवाच ब्रह्मा तं शक्रं बलनिषूदनम्‌ । अवज्ञातास्त्वया नित्यं गावो बलनिषूदन

Transliteration

tataḥ provāca brahmā taṃ śakraṃ balanīṣūdanam | avajñātās tvayā nityaṃ gāvo balanīṣūdana ||

Translation

そのとき梵天は、バラを滅ぼす者シャクラ（インドラ）に告げた。「おお、バラを討ち滅ぼす者よ。汝は常に牛を軽んじてきた。ゆえに、その偉大さを真に知らぬのだ。神々の中の最勝よ、聞け。牛の大いなる力と聖なる威光を、我が説き明かそう。」
