Educational Q&A

Bhīṣma teaches that lifelong brahmacarya—complete continence and disciplined conduct—creates extraordinary spiritual and moral capacity, so that no rightful goal remains beyond reach.

In the Anuśāsana Parva’s instruction section, Bhīṣma continues advising the king (Yudhiṣṭhira) on dharma, praising brahmacarya as a supreme vow whose power makes attainment of aims possible.
