Phala of Vrata, Niyama, Svādhyāya, Dama, Satya, Brahmacarya, and Service (व्रत-नियम-स्वाध्याय-दम-सत्य-ब्रह्मचर्य-शुश्रूषा-फलप्रश्नः)

शुद्धों हार्थो नावमन्यस्व धर्मान्‌ पात्रे देयं देशकालोपपन्ने । तस्माद्‌ गावस्ते नित्यमेव प्रदेया मा भूच्च ते संशय: कश्चिदत्र,“मुनिकुमार! धर्म निर्दोष विषय है। तुम धर्मकी अवहेलना न करना। उत्तम देश, काल प्राप्त होनेपर सुपात्रको दान देते रहना चाहिये। अतः तुम्हें सदा ही गोदान करना उचित है। इस विषयमें तुम्हारे भीतर कोई संदेह नहीं होना चाहिये

śuddho hy artho nāvamanyasva dharmān pātre deyaṃ deśa-kālopapanne | tasmād gāvas te nityam eva pradeyā mā bhūc ca te saṃśayaḥ kaścid atra ||

ナチケータは言った。「財は正しく得て正しく用いるなら清浄である。ゆえにダルマの要請を軽んじてはならぬ。ふさわしい場所と時が到来したなら、相応しい受者に施しをなすべきである。だからこそ、汝は絶えず牛の布施を行い、決して怠ってはならない。このことに心の疑いを残してはならぬ。」
