Nṛga-upākhyāna: Brāhmaṇa-sva and the Consequence of Misappropriated Gift-Cattle (कृकलास-रूपे नृगोपाख्यानम्)
सर्वसत्रैश्न यजते यस्तिलैर्यजते पितृन् | न चाकामेन दातव्यं तिलश्राद्धं कदाचन
bhīṣma uvāca | sarvasatraiś ca yajate yas tilair yajate pitṝn | na cākāmena dātavyaṃ tilaśrāddhaṃ kadācana ||
ビーシュマは言った。「胡麻をもって祖霊（ピトリ）を供養する者は、あたかもあらゆる祭祀を尽くしたのと同じである。されど、シュラーダ（śrāddha）における胡麻の供物は、無欲無念・無関心のままに捧げてはならぬ。明確な志と信心、敬虔の心をもって行うべきである。」
