अस्ति मे बलवानस्मि राजास्मीति युधिष्ठिर । ब्राह्मणान्‌ मा च पर्यश्रीवसोभिरशनेन च

Transliteration

asti me balavān asmi rājā asmīti yudhiṣṭhira | brāhmaṇān mā ca paryaśrīvasobhir aśanena ca ||

Translation

ビーシュマは言った。「ユディシュティラよ、『我には財がある、我は強い、我は王である』という思いを起こしてはならぬ。その驕りゆえに婆羅門を軽んじ、衣食を自分ひとりのために貪ることがあってはならない。王権は、学識ある者への敬意と、私欲の節制とをもって行使されるべきである。」
