श्रिय एता: स्त्रियो नाम सत्कार्या भूतिमिच्छता । पालिता निगृहीता च श्री: स्त्री भवति भारत
śriya etāḥ striyo nāma satkāryā bhūtim icchatā | pālitā nigṛhītā ca śrīḥ strī bhavati bhārata ||
ビーシュマは言った。「女は、いわば繁栄の化身である。ゆえに安寧と隆盛を望む者は、彼女らを敬うべきだ。彼女らが守られ、またダルマの範囲において正しく抑制されるとき、繁栄そのものが女を通して家に宿るのだ、バーラタよ。」
