शप्स्यत्यसंशयं कोपाद्‌ दिव्यज्ञानो महातपा: । “मैं गुरुपत्नीकी रक्षा करनेके लिये अपने सम्पूर्ण अंगोंसे इसके सम्पूर्ण अंगोंमें समा जाऊँगा। यदि आज मेरे गुरुजी अपनी इस पत्नीको किसी पर-पुरुषद्वारा दूषित हुई देख लेंगे तो कुपित होकर मुझे निस्संदेह शाप दे देंगे; क्योंकि वे महा तपस्वी गुरु दिव्यज्ञानसे सम्पन्न हैं

Transliteration

śapsyaty asaṁśayaṁ kopād divyajñāno mahātapāḥ |

Translation

ビーシュマは言った。「疑いなく、神智を具えたあの大苦行者は、怒りに燃えて私を呪うであろう。私は師の妻を守るため、我が全身全霊を彼女の全身に溶け合わせ、他の男が彼女を汚すことのないようにすると決めたのだ。もし今日、敬愛する師が、妻が他の男に穢された姿を目にするなら、その憤怒は必ずや私に降りかかる。」
