उटजं वा तथा हास्य नानाविधसरूपता । “कुटी या आश्रमके दरवाजोंको बंद करके भी पाकशासन इन्द्रका आना नहीं रोका जा सकता; क्योंकि वे कई प्रकारके रूप धारण करते हैं
uṭajaṃ vā tathā hāsya nānāvidhasarūpatā | kuṭī vā āśramadvārāṇi pidhāya api pākaśāsanasya indrasya āgamanam na nivārayituṃ śakyate; sa hi nānāvidhāni rūpāṇi dhārayati |
ビーシュマは言った。「庵であれ他の住まいであれ、たとえアーシュラマの門を閉ざしても、雷霆を操りヴァジュラを携える神々の主インドラの来訪を阻むことはできぬ。彼は多様な姿に変じ得るからだ。」
भीष्म उवाच
External safeguards—like shutting doors or hiding within a hermitage—cannot by themselves prevent the reach of a powerful divine force; true protection and right conduct depend on inner discipline and dharmic integrity rather than mere outward arrangements.
Bhīṣma explains that Indra (Pākaśāsana) can still enter or arrive even when an āśrama’s doors are closed, because he can assume many different forms; the statement underscores Indra’s transformative power and the futility of relying only on physical barriers.
