लोकाननुचरनू् सर्वान् देवर्षिनरिद: पुरा । ददर्शाप्सरसं ब्राह्मीं पडचचूडामनिन्दिताम्
lokān anucaran sarvān devarṣi-nāradaḥ purā | dadarśāpsarasaṃ brāhmīṃ pañcacūḍām aninditām ||
ビーシュマは語った。遠い昔、天の聖仙ナーラダがあらゆる世界を遍歴していた折、ある日ブラフマーの界において、非の打ちどころなきアプサラス、パンチャチューダーの姿を見いだした。この邂逅は、行いと範となる徳の力をめぐる省察の端緒となったのである。
भीष्म उवाच
