ब्राह्मणपूजा-राजधर्मः | Royal Duty of Honoring Learned Brahmins

तमुवाच भरद्वाजो ज्येष्ठ: पुत्रो बृहस्पते: । पुरोधा: शीलसम्पन्नो दिवोदासं महीपतिम्‌

tam uvāca bharadvājo jyeṣṭhaḥ putro bṛhaspateḥ | purodhāḥ śīlasampanno divodāsaṃ mahīpatim |

ブリハスパティの長子にして、徳高く王の祭官でもあるバラドヴァージャは、ディヴォダーサ王に語りかけた。王の来訪を見て、敬意をもってその来意を問い、起こったことを余すところなく述べよと促し、王の安寧のために望むことは何でも、他意なく成し遂げようと請け合った。
