ब्राह्मणं यदि दुष्प्रापं त्रिभिर्वर्ण: शतक्रतो

Transliteration

brāhmaṇaṁ yadi duṣprāpaṁ tribhir varṇaḥ śatakrato

Translation

マーターンガは言った。「おお、シャタクラトゥ（インドラ）よ。もし三つの身分のうちに真のブラーフマナが得難いというのなら、ブラーフマナであることは生まれの札にすぎぬものではなく、行いと内なる価値に根ざした稀なる到達であると悟るべきだ。」
