ऊर्जावतीं महापुण्यां मधुमतीं त्रिवर्त्मगाम्‌ । त्रिलोकगोफ्तीं ये गड्डां संश्रितास्‍्ते दिवं गता:

Transliteration

Ūrjāvatīṁ mahāpuṇyāṁ madhumatīṁ trivartmagām | Trilokagoptīṁ ye Gaṅgāṁ saṁśritās te divaṁ gatāḥ ||

Translation

シッダは言った。「ガンガーは霊威に満ち、至上の功徳を宿し、その水は甘美である。彼女は地・天・冥府という三つの道を行き、ゆえに三界を護る。ガンガーに帰依する者は天界に至る。」
