प्रकाशन्तो दिश: सर्वा विस्मयं परम ययु: । उन ऋषियोंकी तपस्याके प्रभावसे सम्पूर्ण दिशाओंको प्रकाशित होती देख पाण्डवोंको बड़ा विस्मय हुआ
prakāśanto diśaḥ sarvā vismayaṃ paramaṃ yayuḥ | un ṛṣīnāṃ tapasāṃ prabhāvāt samantād diśaḥ prakāśamānā dṛṣṭvā pāṇḍavā mahad vismitaṃ jagmuḥ |
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。四方がことごとく輝きわたり、パーンダヴァらはこの上ない驚嘆に包まれた。あの仙人たちの苦行（タパス）の威力によって、あらゆる方角が照らし出されるのを見て、修行の力が目に見える世界さえ変えることを悟ったのである。
